Lots of layers here ,even a bit of wallpaper.
The banner is grungepaper inked with Victorian Velvet distress inks.

So as I heard someone say
Eat, Ink and be Merry!

While I have you here. It looks like I will be starting that second blog ,but I need YOUR help in naming it.
I'm just not creative that way. Leave me a message here with your idea by next week. I'll pick the best one and send the winner a special surprise. Thanks for all your input. I wouldn't be here without all you Fabulous bloggers.

So I've been Thinking....

A few weeks ago when I met with Jann from A Vintage Heart for coffee. She was asking me about what I do for a living. I was going to meet up with a customer later that day and just so happended to have my portfolio in my car. I asked if she wanted to see it. She said "yes" and after seeing what I do she asked me why I don't share photos of my work on my blog.  I didn't think anyone would be interested. So what do you think? Would you like to see my work? I was thinking of starting another blog that shows my fine art and my murals and faux finishes. If I do I'll only post on it once a week since I don't have a lot of free time. Let me know how you feel about it. If I get much of a response I'll do it. If not thats o.k. too.

Here's a couple of Watercolors I did.
An old building in Idaho city.
These are a couple of watercolors I painted for my MIL a few years back. not my favorite medium to work in. I tend to do more detailed work in Gouache, acrylics and oils.

I can't take full credit for this one. My MIL was on a cruise and took a snapshot of a painting she fell in love with and asked me to re-create it for her, so I did. Another watercolor.

Victorian Christmas Ornaments

I recently saw a video that Martha Stewart did showing a shop who made Victorian Christmas Ornaments. It inspired me to make a few of my own.

I used vintage mercury glass ornaments, some vintage scrap, German scrap. Some vintage trims. vintage lace. etc. I had intended on putting these in my Etsy shop but time ran out. Maybe next year.
FYI the ornaments in that shop Martha featured went between $119.00 to $600.00 each.
Can you believe that!!!!!!
She used all vintage or antique pieces.
Mine will be more like $20.00 LOL

Tags Day 10 & 11

Well its coming to a close, yes only one more day left for Tim's tags.
Here's my interruption of day 11. I didn't have most of what he used. (surprised?)  Just a dictionary page, Ornate plate and the inks. I used a winter collage image from Alpha Stamps. instead of a tree.
The sleigh stamp is  from Oxford Impressions. I embossed some snowflakes on the side.

My day 10 tag is pretty close to Tim's. I didn't have the die cut snowman but used the mask and drew a pattern on grungepaper. Added some snow along the bottom. Its been fun! I'll be back tomorrow with my final tag, yeah!!!! Linking to The Artistic Stamper and Arty Jen.

Day 8 Tag and My Cowboy Santa

I think I somehow skipped past this one. Anyway....  I wasn't really crazy about Tim's color choices so went out on my own with blue and white, I Love the tone on tone effect. I didn't have that little house die ( on my wish list) so I stamped the image from Artistic Outpost steampunk plate. The snowflakes, text and swirls all come from Artistic Outpost. I'm linking this to The Artistic Stamper and Arty Jen.  I added a little sparkle snow on the ground but doesn't show well in the picture.

                                     My Cowboy Santa
I thought you might like to see my very first hand carved piece I did. Must have been about 12 years ago. I have hand carved at least a dozen or so different things since.
He's all hand carved from basswood. I used carving knives and gouges.

I just love he little pillow sticking out from his Santa suit. and his stick horse.

Yee Haw!!!!

Tag day 7 and Frosty Friends

My day 7 tag. I didn't have any sticky back canvas (no surprise) so I used grungepaper and stamped a poinsettia twice on it, cut them out and layered together. I actually had the wood texture plate! yeah!!!

My Frosty Friends

My Frosty Friends. I began collecting these the first year we were married 30 years ago.  We have the entire collection.

                                                                The wreath and minis.

and yes I saved some room for future Frosty's!

Day 6 Tags of Christmas and a little Holiday decor

I'm a day behind but that's o.k with me. Here's my day 6 tag. I did have some tissue tape just not the music. I used the Christmas tree embossing folder. Its a little fancier than Tim's but I like it. I'm entering this in Artistic Stamper and ArtyJen.
I'll leave you with a couple of pictures of my Holiday decor.

Tim's tag Day 4

I hope your all staying with me and not getting to tired of seeing these tags. Well I didn't have much of what Tim used on his tag. Just the paper. So I improvised a bit. Ticket stamp from Scrolls Work. the snowflake in the fragment from Artistic Outpost and can't remember who makes the scroll. my colors came out a bit weird in the photo the blues aren't so vibrant IRL.

I'm entering it the The Artistic Stamper and Arty Jen and Simon Says.

Day 2 -Twelve Tags of Christmas

I stayed up late to wait for Tim's Twelve Tags of Christmas. Then off to work all day...Whoa I didn't know if I was going to get this done but here's my attempt at day two. None of his stamps I used were Tim's they came from  Artistic Outpost greenery from Snowy Woods and the pinecone from Oxford Impressions new Sleigh bells plate. Sorry I don't remember who makes the text stamp. not my best work but what can I say, I'm tired!
I'm entering this in two challenges at The Artistic Stamper and Arty Jen
